AI TOC ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that adds a table of contents sidebar to AI chat interfaces. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles information.

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
• We do not track your browsing history or activity.
• We do not send any data to external servers (except for payment processing via ExtensionPay/Stripe, described below).

Local Storage

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API:

• Cached table of contents for recently visited conversations (up to 50 entries).
• Your Pro license status (to avoid repeated payment checks).
• User preferences (sidebar visibility, settings).

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Payment Processing

Pro plan purchases are handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. Payment information is processed directly by these services and is not accessible to us. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details.

Permissions

• storage: Used to save TOC cache and settings locally on your device.
• webNavigation: Used to detect page navigation within AI chat interfaces so the TOC updates automatically.
• Host permissions: Required to inject the TOC sidebar into supported AI chat pages (gemini.google.com, notebooklm.google.com, claude.ai).
